Brittany « mother » of offshore races

After Brest in 2021, the Pro sailing tour makes its strong come back on the Brittany coast, on the Northern coast and in the « Manche » basin. Whole Brittany will welcome the tour with 3 stops Brest, Saint Brieuc bay and Roscoff for the final race: the faithful audience keen on sensations, but also the nautical industry companies which build and equip the boats (1500), companies which train the competitors, offshore « Port la Forêt » and « Concarneau », the Brittany sailing valley made of 210 companies specialized in offshore races and their teams between Vannes , Lorient and Brest. The Nautical industry in Brittany represents 160 marinas welcoming each year 50 000 yachtsmen, 35 nautical centers and 750 service providers who offer about 4000 leisure activities a year for more than 1 Million of beginners or boat lovers followers. A complete Eco system whose motto could be: in each sailor is a budding star or an innovative contractor!

For the last episode of the second season of the Pro Sailing Tour the racers will discover a sailing mythical bay: the Bay of Morlaix. Located between the « Château du Taureau » and the island of Batz, the deep water harbor will offer its traps to the Ocean Fifty sailors’ skills.

Jérémy Bayou, Armel Le Cléac’h and more recently Charlotte Yven learned the ropes in this magnificent location which links the « Trégor » to « Haut Léon ».

Roscoff town council is happy to welcome the second edition of the Pro sailing Tour. Thus, our city demonstrates its potential to welcome high-level races.

Roscoff , a city between sea and land, is pushing its coastline and its ability to promote Nautical industry as an economic , sportive and touristic leverage .
This event, accessible to everyone is giving the opportunity to meet the skippers and their teams. »

Starting in Bonifacio the Pro Sailing tour will end in the « Finistère » and will highlight two of our most beautiful locations the harbor of Brest and the bay of Morlaix thanks to a marvelous challenge and a TV series broadcasted worldwide.

« On the 9th and 10th of July the bay of Morlaix will be happy to welcome the offshore race Cowes-Roscoff, the final of race of the second Pro Sailing Tour, an innovative and dramatic sport event.

Outstanding because 8 crews will sail on trimarans from the Ocean Fifty Class (ex multi50), exceptional, fast and performing multihulls from more than 15 meters

Innovative because the competition telling the story of an exceptional human adventure will be shot. The objective is to share with the audience a complete immersive experience close to action and emotions . The Ocean Fifty report series will be broadcast on Canal+ and will help to reach a new audience and to generalize sailing competitions.

As a partner of the event the « CCI métropolitaine Bretagne ouest » and its « délégation de Morlaix », in charge of the marina of Roscoff Bloscon, highlight the magnificent bay of Morlaix in the sportive, economical and touristic levels.
It is going to be a marvelous spotlight for our territory ! And an opportunity to promote our destination in an international way, to strengthen its appeal and to develop the French and foreign touristic frequentation. »
