Three of the six Ocean Fifty left their home port on the French Atlantic coast for the Canary Islands. Ciela Village by Erwan Le Roux, Arkema 4 by Quentin Vlamynck and Leyton by Sam Goodchild, provisional leader of the circuit after his victories in the first two episodes played in the cities of Brest and La Rochelle, are now sailing towards the only Spanish port of the Pro Sailing Tour 2021.
The other teams will leave from France in the coming days. Sébastien Rogues -Primonial and Arsep – Thibaut Vauchel-Camus have announced that they will set sail for the Canary Islands today, Tuesday 22 June. Gilles Lamiré’s GCA – 1001 Sourires Group will begin its journey next Thursday, the 24th.
Once at their destination, the trimarans will remain moored at Muelle Deportivo. The teams will begin setting up their boats for the 24h Challenge on Thursday July 1st. The competition program will continue on July 3 and 4, Saturday and Sunday, with a series of coastal regattas in front of Las Canteras beach in a spectacular format that the public can follow from the mainland.
The third episode of the Pro Sailing Tour benefits from the support of the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the Port of Las Palmas.
